This screenprinted holiday card is an homage to the very witty Ronald Searle. Searle’s works were an entertaining mix of beautiful cityscapes and hilariously abstracted cats. Instead of a cat, I chose to depict my friend’s golden retriever, Bo, who is quite mischievous. I felt Bo’s mischievous attitude embodied the spirit of Searle’s cats.
